have you ever given money to charity?

i personally find it hard to give money to charity especially charity that is shown on tv. i have given money to charity before, catully it was not to long ago when i got my haircut, and their was this notice that one of the hair dressers neice was just diagnosed with leukemia at the age of just three years old. as a father i cant bear to think how hard that must be for the family. it did'nt take long for me to go in my pocket and hand all the money that i had on me. it was the lady who cut my hair neice who had leukemia, i did'nt know that till i asked her who i give the money too. i think the main reason why i dont give alot to charity is because i dont trust the charity, i just dont trust what their doing with my money. i have always said if i was rich i would travel the world to a poor country and actually watch my money do something good because i just cant get the thought out my head that my hard earned money would go straight into someone elses wage packet. do you give money to charity or not or are you like me where you are just scared where your money is going too?
