Four years ago my uncle got into a car accident but didnt need medical attention. He got hit from behind and althougt he felt fine he really wasnt. A couple months later he started getting really bad headachs and went to numorous docotrs and did cat scans but the doctors found nothing. A month later his hair turned white and it all fell out in a matter of weeks. One day he just collapsed and was sent to the hospital. The doctors didnt know what was wrong so they kept giving him morphine for the pain. Soon they found out he had blood clots on his brain which got activated when he was hit. But by the time they found out what was wrong the doctors had gave him so much morphine that he was braindead. His wife of twenty years had to pull the plug. The doctors killed my uncle. Doctors arent always right, its scary. Doctors work wonders but they dont always know do they?

yes, i agree with the people here... the docs don't always know best... they mainly base their diagnosis through the story that you tell them, and the readings from their machines/gadgets. when these gadgets fail, that's a prob. when they incorrectly interpret/understand your story, then that's a prob, too... the doctors' knowledge is limited... to what they've learned in school, and what they've experienced in practice... and the fact that the human body is complex, makes the job even more complicated... medicines are also man-made... there are imperfections... some meds used in the past have already been banned these years... so it won't come as a surprise when the medicines that we're using now, may become banned in the future due to side effects, and such...

No .. they don't know everything .. how on earth could they ... medical knowledge is building faster than anyone could ever learn it ... I have always had disabilities ... I have never solely relied on doctors to tell me what's wrong with me .. I respect their knowledge and training .. but the only person that knows me best of all is ME !! .. So I try and find out as much as I can about my disabilities and then I can help the docs treat me better ... It's my body .. I'm the only one who knows when something is wrong .. we must take responsibility and help our docs do their jobs as well as possible

Your right, They do not know everything. But they do have a good grasp on stuff. They have the book knowledge and a good doctor has experience as knowledge. They can guide you as best they can but your body will do what it wants during pregnancy. But your doctor is more likely more experienced in pregnancies than you are! Think about how many successful pregnancies they have helped along the way!

I think that the majority of doctors do try to provide the best patient care that they can. What might have happened had your uncle sought medical care immediately after the accident? The result may or may not have been different. I don't think that anyone...doctors or any other profession can really know everything and I think we tend to want our doctors to have an answer for every problem. They do try to the best of their ability to heal their patients.

No doctor knows it all, only JEHOVAH knows all things. The best he can is to specialize in a particular field of medicine but not for long.

maybe most of the time they know what they are doing, but still there are some situations that they do the "trial and error" method.. If they encounter cases that they havent seen or experienced before, i think they too obtain their prescriptions through these WILD GUESSES according to the patients records or situations..

i m sorry to read all that dear. it is really sad. u r right that sometimes doctors really dont know the beat. doctors are taken as GOD on earth but these days i think medicine has become their business and nothing else..i have seen hospitals where according to the wealth of the patient a PAKAGE of diseases is given so that they can fetch maximum amount of money from the people.. doctors are deliberately turning into beasts. i have recently come across anews where doctors amputated some people to make them beggers..amd some people were kidnapped and castrated by doctors to make them eunuchs... it is sad that we r living in this heartless world

yes, I agree with that sometimes the medications they give didn't work and just pull out money from us.. like my son, this is my 3rd time visiting his doctor with the same problem, the doctor is continuing giving medecines for him which didn't work, I don't know what to do with my child, I'm just being helpless about him. Sometimes, instinct medications mothers know for their children works best.

Doctors almost always have the best intentions in mind while diagnosing but they are human and just like every other human on this planet they make mistakes. That is why it is wise to get a second opinion on serious illnesses or injuries.

Sorry to listen that story from you, its an extreme case. But yes doctors are not always right not only in big things but in small things as well. I had a doctor who advised one of relatiove not to apply the oil on new born baby, the baby skin got so much dried that he has to oil it ultimately and later that doctor just denied that he said so

No doctors don't always know, they are fallible people like everyone else. But what I have noticed in the last six years since I've lost 3 family members is that the more doctors they bring in on your case the worse your care gets. Too many cooks in the kitchen. One wants to do one thing and another don't and meanwhile nothing gets done. Another thing is the Hmo's I really think they are killing people and the doctors are getting the blame. They shouldn't be allowed so much latitude in what services are provided, what medicines are received, and how much time a hospital stay should be. Nobody knows that except maybe god. I'm sorry about your uncle,we had to go the same route with my father except they knew he had a massive clot they just couldnt do anything about it. He had very little brain activity-so we went the morphine route to let him pass peacefully and all of us his children (10) could say goodbye. There's still good doctors out there just keep your critical care down to one or two.

I do not trust doctors either. Doctors are taught how to cut on you and to give you pills when you get a cold. Most doctors seem to know very little about nutrition and almost nothing about autism. There seem to be just a handfull of doctors that know how to treat autistic children. Many doctors want to give them pills to calm them down. It has been the parents of autistic children who have found ways to cure their children by removing the mercury which is the cause of autism and biomedical methods of treatment.

Are doctors and doctors, but I believe that it is imposible that an men know evrething,a doctor first is men an then is doctor. The doctors can make mistakes, and for these mistakes are mens who pay.Doctors like doctors who killed your uncle are murderers, not doctors.Sometimes, I prefer to serve with treatment from nature.I dont believe in doctors.

not possible , as there are many things which are even not possible by the doctors to find out. They try there best to find the actual cause of the disease so the they can help one from it.They all have the bookish knowledge and through which the give medicine.
