If you are a vegetarian, than what foods will provide you with enough protein for your body? A small list off foods would be nice. i think you can get it from green vegetables, am i right Th reason i ask is because my boyfriends new year resolution is to take out all meat other than fish for the next six months. so we are trying to figure out food he can eat

Nuts, Seeds (sunflower, sesame, etc.) Tofu, Mushrooms, Eggs (if your veggie diet allows for this!) And of course, fish! Green veggies contain a lot of iron, but not protein, so they'll boost your red blood cells, which is important for vegetarians, so they don't get anemic. Don't forget things like rice and bulgar wheat too! It's important for veggies to have a balanced diet, so finding alternative sources to the other nutrients your diet will be missing is vital - sunflower, sesame and olive oils in your diet will help you replace those lost by the missing dairy, and fats found in meat. Good luck, and I hope you discover lots of new and exciting dishes!!

Will you eat dairy? Tons of protein in cheese, milk, eggs, yoghurt. Then also in dark green leafy vegetables, cashews, and some other nuts. Soy has lots of protein. Then there's protein combinations of legumes and whole grains. Here's a link to nutrition on my website http://www.auntienatal911.com/benefits_good_nutrition and a US government website http://www.5aday.gov Happy eating!

I'm not a vegetarian but I have read and heard that one of the best substitutes for the protein in meat is soy beans. I love them, especially in Chinese food. We use ground up soy beans to supplement our pet poodle and he cant tell the difference when it is mixed with veggies and pasta.
