Should ZOMBIES run?

For years, the zombie has been seen as a slow-moving fiend, coming at you at a snail's pace, ready to eat your flesh, or in special cases, your brrrain. This is the image I've grown up with (grown and loved), so to me, the idea of a running zombie is quite blasphemous. They cease being zombies and turn into something that of Ghouls. As described by Wikipedia: A ghoul is a monster from ancient Arabian folklore that dwells in graveyards and other uninhabited places. The English word comes from the Arabic name for the creature: ????? ghul, which literally means "demon".[1] The ghul is a devilish type of jinn believed to be sired by Iblis.[2] So that's Wiki's definition on a Ghoul, not to be confused with Elliott Gould. I am not 100% hating on this so-called Running Zombie. Oh no, not at all! In fact, I love the movie 28 Days Later, as well as 28 Days, starring "that girl from SPEED". In fact, 28 Days Later is not the first film to carry a running zombie. Anyone remember Return of The Living Dead? No? I bet Elliott Gould does. So in closing, walking zombies are better than running zombies, because they're scarier.

I love RoTLD! and numerous other zombie flicks actually (big thing in my house right along side vamps) and yes..running zombies really is wrong though I must admit I frequently think when seeing walking zombies "omg their coming walk faster!" then procede to burst out laughing LOL simply because it entertains me

Ah but rigor sets in twice....for a time in between the first setting and the second setting you could probably get in a little jog or quick dash maybe ;-)

i think that both fast and slow moving zombies are scarey and i also think its scarey how you've made my brain turn inside out because you are just too damn clever with your words, mister DOCtor. but you know what? the older the scarey monster in the movie is, it becomes even more frightening to me. ESPECIALLY if the monster is claymation or something ridiculously fake. i dunno why, but it just really scares me. i'll never forget, i was about 6 years old, and one time i snuck out of my room passed my bedtime and hid behind the couch to watch the scarey movie that my babysiter was watching. i remember on the screen there was this teenage-looking girl in her nightgown staring down at the floor and screaming her lungs out at what appeared to be nothing more than a puffer fish-looking thing. it was all prickly and small and moved around in such a robotic way. SOO FAKE. and then a big bolt of lightling came out and zapped her brain. & ever since then i thought aliens were going to come one night and steal my brain. :)

I am a big fan of zombie movies and I have to say that the walking Zombie is definitely scarier. But I've always wondered why the "normal" people don't run from the "walking" zombies. If I ever saw something like that, you can be assured that I would be high tailing it out of there!
