GM 4L60E Transmission- No Third Gear

Its a 1997 Chevy S-10 blazer, It shifts find from 1st to 2nd, but slips as if it was put into neutral. If you get the speed up to about 40-45 mph it tries to engage overdrive. Could it be a simpile connection problem at the electrical connector or a more serious problem
