Who wears the "pants" in your house?

I always wondered about that phrase. Let me know your interpretation of it and if your live-in companion will agree?

no one wears the pants in my home. My hubby is bossy at times but the two of us are suppose to have equal decisions in the home.

I agree with the equal discussions. In a relationship both partners should be treated as equals. It is not fair for one person to have control over the other. Both should have equal access to finances.

I was brought up that the person who wears the pants in the family is the decisions maker Well, that is me. My husband has his job, and is in the military and does his own thing. I keep the home fort down, and take care of the kids and the animals and much of the time on my own. So when decisions need to be made, I usually make them. Big or small.
