My Thoughts on The VS Semi-Annual Sale...

I always spend tons and tons of money whenever I go to the Victoria's Secret Semi-Annual Sale...and throughout the entire year. Usually, they have really great stuff, that mostly disappears long before I get there, because, somehow, the rest of the world has beat me there. But this year, I was extremely disappointed, there weren't that many great things, and some things were not even reasonably priced... I still spent more than I should have, but I am wondering what is going on this year. Has anyone else gone to the VS Semi-Annual Sale? Any comments on the occaison, the products, the prices??? I am so glad that this year, I went to a different mall, because usually I can't breathe in there with all the sale shoppers making me feel claustrophobic.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I was so disappointed. I got up early in the morning the first day it began to see what things they would have, and they had NOTHING! I think the shipment didn't come in due to the new presidential day off, but it still doesn't explain why everything else was priced so high. Not only that, I was waiting forever for them to put out their purses with the perfume sets inside, and I kept asking the representatives when they would have them, and they kept giving me vague answers, so I finally took measures in my own hands and located one of the stock guys and asked him, and he told me that the shipment would come in tomorrow, so I left believing that they would not have any tomorrow. Well, to my surprise, actually my horror and anguish, my sister went shopping after me, and she found three black purses with perfume sets inside of them. So I went back in today and the guy that I spoke to yesterday was like, "oh well those were from last year, and they weren't really that good anyway." I think that says it all for VS. No wait, it doesn't. I think their representatives are also snobby and extremely rude. And for the life of me, I can't understand why. I mean they get minumum wages of $6.75 an hour, and what are they so stuck up about. It's not like they own the store. And if they did, I would advise no one else to go there.

Yes, that has been my experience also. They do have some really snobby employees, but there really is nothing to be so hoity toity about, working there is not a big deal. Maybe they are happy about their store discounts and believe that it makes them better than we are, I don't know. I have also noticed, that many times a lot of the employees there are clueless about merchandise and other answers that we need. I wanted garter for my wedding, and half of them didn't know what I was talking about. I finally located the manager, or supervisor, and she told me that they stopped carrying them. Just my luck.

I always spent too much money there too. I don't care for their stuff. The only thing I really like is a flavor called Passionate Kisses that only comes out during the semi annual sale. I always go during the sale to get the cream, lotion, and or body splash. For some reason this year they didn't bring any. I think they had a few but they were gone the first day. And there were hardly any lotions, they mostly had shower gels. I think they're a rip off. They charge too much. If it's not on sale, it's not worth it.

Yes, I agree with you...it so is not worth it. I buy a lot of there things online, and one day it is regular price, then one week it is on sale, then the next it is not...I get so frustrated, because I just can't trust them anymore.
