which dumbeldoor do you like best

I personally like the ocera look of the Original Dumbledor, he is just a better looking wizard, if you know what I mean, he lok a better wizard overall. Other than that, the Current Dumbledore still is awesome and is one of the best characters in the Movie.

I like the dumbledore in the first two books.. the calmness and serenity...qucik witted....etc etc :)

I thought they were both good. Just different. Each actor plays the same character with different emphasis. They see the character differently and experience different motivations. I think they are both wonderful actors and enjoyed their performances immensely.

I liked the first Dumbeldoor alot better then the one they have now

the first one... reason being that it was he who had a gazing stare, the one that could have an x-ray vision of ur mind... not this one, he seems more like a person asked to act and is acting accordingly...

I liked the first Dumbledore. I think that he was more suited to the role. The second Dumbledore is not too bad, he portrays the character of Dumbledore rather well but I still prefer the former actor...

lol i wanted to start a topic like this as well :D lolz well yeah the person who comes as dumbledore in the first two movies is more apt and the one who comes in third and fourth movie isnt that impressive he always touches his gown and pulls them upwards as if its gonna fall down :D lolz but he is very serious where as the first dumbledore wasnt he loooked too old and more polite this dumbledore , gambon i think his name , will be perfect for the fifth movie

For me that is an easy answer and that's Richard Harris as Dumbledor. The new actor isn't bad but he's not as good and he just doesn't seem right for the role. Now I will admit he had some very big shoes to try and fill, Richard Harris was well known for his acting ability. It's just a shame that he could not finish the role. It's strange that he didn't want to commit to do the role and yet so many think he's the best at it. He only agreed to do the role because his grand daughter threatened not to talk to him again unless he did, he stated he couldn't take the chance she would keep her word.

It was definitely the first one (Richard Harris). But maybe thats because I read the books after seeing the first movie. After that I couldn't imagine Dumbledore as anybody else. But even now, Harris played a wonderful Dumbledore, more than any other character in the series I think he was the only actor that WAS the character. RIP Richard Harris 10/01/30 - 10/25/02

I think even i prefer the first dumbledore. He suited the role perfectly. He potrayed the dumbledore in d book perfectly.. tat calm composed tone tat u wud associate wit him. The second dumbledore who is more energetic doesnt really show tat calm outlook tat ur supposed 2 find in him, wich really puts me off..

obviously the first dumbeldor was lot better than the second one. the first one could carry out the role with such grace just as i thought he would be while reading the book but the second one would run and jump. he did not act like a professor. i like the first one.
