How do you make a banner for a web page?

hi! as a starter, you can use Adobe Photoshop in creating your very first web banner. it has template in the New command, it says, Web Banner and it only has one size listed, like 400 something x 60. but i think that's the common size. but you can make something bigger if you want.

a standard banner is 468x60 pixel large! you will need a photoshop and an ulead gif animator to make a banner! photoshop is pretty hard to understand but with some excercise, doing some tutorials you will find out how to make a good banner

you can search for banners from the internet. if you want to make your own banner,you can use gif construction set pro,adromatic inst,3d's max,photoshop etc.

Hi, I make my graphics using adobe photoshop, adobe imageready and paint shop pro 8, if your a beginner I would recommend you trying paint shop pro 8 first and get familiar with it before using adobe photoshop :) good Luck! Search internet you will find many ready made banners and you just need to customize it for your particular blog
