I think its equal, and also based on driving experience. Also on whether or not the person follows the general driving rules, such as speed.

Nooooooooo! I am so nervous with my cocky hubbys' driving. He drives way too fast and never gets caught. He switches lanes way too quickly and won't get into the lane he needs to be in till the last 1/4 mile then he merges over 4 lanes at once. His driving scares the living daylights out of me. He also honks at people for going slower than him. So embarrasing.

That would make me nervous. I think my daughter drives like that sometimes and I have warned her to be more careful. You may have to ride incognito....smile

In general, yes I think men are better drives. But, more road rage with them as well.

I think it depends on the driver. It is only realistic to conclude that drivers with more experience generally make better drivers. I was an over-the-road driver, so I had more training than the average driver might get. I don't want to classify good verses bad drivers according to gender or age for that matter. Until a driver has had a few close calls or some tight situations, it is easy to sit back and take everything for granted. That you can't ever get into an accident or cause one by your driving.

My husband is a really good driver. I think its really dangerous out there with the cell phones ect... cant ever take the road for granted because its the unexpected that always gets ya.
