I just learned yesterday that in the US anyway, those people who sell cell phones from kiosks are often not really authorized dealers. For example, I want to an unauthorized dealer in Hadley, MA accidently and got a new phone 4 months ago. When the phone broke, I took to another dealer in Holyoke, MA who was authorized. My warranty from the other dealer wasn't real, so I had to sign a new agreement with the authorized dealer. He (the dealer) that all authorized dealers wear t-shirts of the company and have badges. So remember, if you don't see a company shirt, leave.

You don't need to be an authorized dealer to sell phones. Just have your gaurantees honored by the company, my case T-Mobile. You buy from an unauthorized dealer at your known risk.

This is some very good information for us all to know. I just recently got my cell phone but I bought it from the cell company. I will remember this information though and pass it on. Thank you.
