child labour .. is it legal.....??

we come acrooss so many incidents where child labour is encouraged. usually in countries like india where you see children of age 8-9 working on the railway platforms. its such a disappointing thing to see. that parents themselves encourage these kind of activities. i feel we as a society should work towards erradicating this act
