I am so happy smoking in public places is banned in my country now. At last they have realized that the money they spend on curing the sicknesses occured by smoking is far too higher than the money they receive as taxes from tobaco companies. What do you guys think about this.

My thinking about this is smoking is very dangerous to our health it cant show after drinking one or two sigarates in a day it shows after some period how much dangerous it is in our life and the family members how much disturbing by this.

I think that's great! I do not think it's right that we non-smokers have to breath second hand smoke. That has been found to be even more harmful than 1st hand smoke.

I personally think it's a wonderful idea but I'm sure the addicts amongst us will whole heartedly disagree, lol

But do you know that addicts themselves agree that it is a health hazard. Knowing that even they cant stop.

In India, they have just started a moment. In shops they are displaying boards that tobocco products will not be sold for people less than 18 years. There is a serious disucssion in going on to ban smoking in public. Already in Government offices, the ban is already there. I hope with public cooperation the smoking is banned permanently.

If smoked in public places, they'll be fined. You know how? Rs. 3000/- fine to be paid as 12.50 installments daily! I think those are very creative fines of Judges

in our country the population of smokers is so much that it cant be banned , it is such a social evil . and the worst part is that the smokers feel that other people are damn stupid that they do stuff to erase it

Thats what even I thought. But now nicely the smokers are not to be seen. Govenment have to realize and take the first step. Then, people will follow. Put a nice fine then they are bound to follow. You know how difficult it is to pay 10/- every day to complete a 5000/- fine? Thats what our Judges do here.
