I hear alot about racism but am unclear on what it is. If a person embrasses his/her culture is it racist if they are white? I see things like the young negro fund. I think it is great but what if we had a young cuacasion fund? Would that be considered a form of racism. I am not racist I have friends of all race. I would like to know where the fine line of racism is. Lets discuss this and try to come to some sort of understanding.

The definition of racism is complicated. Racism is more that just a basic definition. Racism is the dislike of other because of the color of their skin. This happens all over the world in one shape or form. I am not a racist however, I am tired of being told I am a racist because I am tired of my daughter being taught about Martin Luther King every year during black history month. The public schools here seems to think he is the only black man that has ever done any good. Why not have white history month? How about asian history month? If you show any kind of pride in your race, you are a racist. This is so wrong but it happens all the time. The government in my opinion promotes racism. They make all kind of exeptions for other races. However, there are not many brakes if you are white. I don't feel I am better than the next person but I am at least equal. I worked hard for everything I have ever gotten out of life. I guess I will continue working hard because the government is not going to help me. Racism is a money maker for the government. Watch how the new presidencial candidate will use racism to further their agenda.

racism is not always a hate because color of skin it comes in many forms...being of a different color is a main one also your sexuality can bring racism they way you dress the way you talk or even of what nationality you are...either way its not something that anyone should have to deal with but it happenes more then you think.

Racism is hating, judging, or feeling people are inferior merely because of their race. If someone has a negative opinion about someone, not because of their character but because of the race they belong to, that's racism, in my opinion.

I would simply define racism as disliking one that is not like you. There are various forms and degrees of racism. I do think there are too many "special" things for the black culture. Dont get me wrong, I am not racist at all. What if other cultures had something simjilar to the NAACP that defended them and in my opinion, encourage racism? How about White or Chinese History Month? If people would get over color and look at people as people, we would all be better off. Great discussion!!

Well what you have xperieced is not racism.Racism is a curse to humanity. It's a taboo subject in many societies.Racism is when one from a particular race believes that his is a sup[erior race to the other and starts insulting the other.
