Why do we subject ourselves to such meheim? Maybe it is a social disorder that we go to these things and expose ourselves to loud and wild (drugged up or drunken) souls. I can remember each and every concert I attended when I was younger. The push of the crowd against my small body, the smell of sweaty flesh, and the heat of from other people pushing me further and deeper towards the stage. And for what? To see a rock star singing or a guitar player strumming a few strings.
There were times I didn't even touch the floor with my feet because of the cramming of bodies in a stadium or club. The music blasting out beats that lasted for hours in my entire body and being def in the ears when I left. Dehydrated, exhausted, and sore when I came home. Was it truly worth a CD or a tee shirt? Well, there are days I think Heck YEAH!
Could you describe your experiance at a rave, a club, or concert? Why did you go?

I partied hard when I was a little younger. I used to go to goth clubs and industrial concerts from the time I was 17-20 and then I started going to raves and clubs and all day - all weekend music festivals. When I was young I went out every night and didn't notice being tired. I could dance all night. I made friends easily. I was in the mash pit...even at the hardcore shows. I got knocked out a few times in the pit but I was right back in when I came too. Now I can't stand going to concerts where it's wall to wall. I can't stand the thought of other peoples sweat on me. Ick! I used to go to techno clubs... then to the after hours clubs and then we would drive to Riverview for all weekend gay house parties. They were fun (and I never had to worry about being raped).

Well actually I go to indie bands gigs, so the crowd is never so oppressive as it happnes in the big star concerts. Anyway I agree with you. I prefer sitting down on my sofa and listening to a cd in a quiet room than going to a concert
