About downloading software/movie using torrent software(For newbies): Due to the large software size (eg like DVD movie/game), it's impossible for everyone to download from a single server source, it will overload the server and slow down the speed. Besides, the server need to hold a very large storage for that software. So, a new method had been created to cater such problem (initially for commercial data transfer activity purpose). So the file size break down into small packet size ranging from several KB to several MB. The client that download from the source act as the uploading server as well. It's like a give and take scenario, where everyone is client and also server in the same time. Eg, PC B download from PC A, then PC B download from PC A & PC B. PC C again upload to PC D and PC D download simulteneously from PC A, B also. In this way, the load are distributed and won't overload any node. This is all about the brief technical detail, but we do not need to worry about it. What we should know is the concept of seed & leech only. Seed are those PC have the complete set of data, and is uploading to other PC. Leech are those partially complete and is downloading from other PC and could also upload to those having lesser data. There are a few excellent one, but in this discussion, we talk only about utorrent. It's advantage is it use the least of the PC resource. (Eg Bitcomet will deplete IE browser resource and we could hardly open other web site when Bitcomet is running, usually) So to download the software, look in www.utorrent.com After you had download (through normal way, not torrent method) and install the utorrent ( i am using utorrent 1.6 build 474), then you need to look for torrent file in the web. Choose those health level 100% and seedsleeches Remember, what you download from here is just a small seed file, containing the information for utorrent to look for the origianl data pieces all over the net. So, save it in your hard drive, then open it with uTorrent. Then it will prompt you where to save the movie/data file. You choose a place in your hard drive. Make sure there is enough disk space to store your movie. Eg if the torrent file show that it need 4.7GB space, then you need to allocate at least 4.7GB free space in hard drive, where you want to store the movie file. After that, you just click 'start' for the file to start download.
