I would love to find something to sell on ebay to make a little extra money especially now that I am a stay at home mom. I have tried selling clothes, but they don't sell for very much and you hardly end up making any money after shipping fees and ebay fees. What do you sell? What things are easy to sell on ebay, and how do you get them to sell them and still make money?

I can't give away what I sell, but I make a fulltime living on it. You just need to research completed auctions. I've always been told to sell what you love, as you will make more money that way. It seems to hold true for me. Clothes do awesome on ebay usually, I've never had a problem selling used kids clothing for as much as $50 when it is a great brand. You just need to figure out what brands to buy, where to get them, etc.

Ebay is a tough market take it from someone who has tried the ebay thing. Ebay is very competitive and the ebay fees are ridiculus. As a stay at home mom I would suggest buying items from ebay (if you can get a really good deal) and put the items on consignment at your local consignment shop. Hope this helps.

I found collectables sold the best as other things unless you sold stuff so cheap it wasn't worth people paying the postage and then if the things you sell are that cheap you end up losing anyway...Garage sales are good to pick up things like that...

great. thanks for the tips. I always get a little nervous buying things at garage sales. I don't know what to look for or if what I'm buying is really going to sell and then I'll be out of money and stuck with the junk.

It is important to sell what you love. I love so many things that I am able to have a very good variety of choices. I have found that electronics sell well on ebay. I have picked some up at yard sales for very little cleaned them up and maybe added a couple more small items with it and have done well with that. Kids clothing seems to do ok also, it does seem to depend on the time of year though. Just pick a few things that you enjoy and have fun with it.

I love Ebay. I have sold many things on there. I agree with the posted that said you have to sell what you love. Find items you are interested in and do a search on them. See what they are selling for. Next, you need to have a source of those items. Then you need to know the price you want to set for them. If you follow your areas of interest, and keep an open mind, you are bound to find an area of sales that works for you. Good luck!

I don't know personally.
My friend sells alot of things online via his website. (he also seems some of his stuff via ebay) alot things sell even things which you think might be rubbish like a old dvd etc.
of course thing like that won't recover the price you orginally paid but still.
Kudos =)

Well I also tried ebay before but it no so popular here in our place and lastly there are no competitive items to sell. Some made success in ebay. What bother's me there are the shipping fees sometimes it costs more than the item itself and of course the security because there are many thiefs in ebay.
