This is what some people say when a natural calamity strikes. Do you agree to this?

nope, i think it is a natural thing that has happened for thousands of years. if people choose to live in a place that has earthquakes or hurricanes then your just asking for trouble

Yes! I often think of that too. People will put up communities at the slope of a volcano, river banks and mountain sides and when disaster strikes they blame God and call it acts of God. Either to punish people of for any other reason.

god is a concept people use to explain things they do not understand and can not control, consequently its quite rational and expected for them to say god is punnishing people , what else could it possibly be?

Some say that in the pre-civilized world, when a hunter hears the sound of thunder and see flashes of lightning, he will immediately think that God or the gods are angry so he will quit hunting for that day. When man through science found out the real cause of thunder and lightning, hunters no longer say that but the concept of God punishing people is here to stay.
