For clarification, the moment when a show "jumps the shark" is a moment when the "golden age" of a certain show (I.E. happy days, lost, friends) ends, and it's obvious the writers are losing creativity because the new episodes are either unoriginal or just dumb. Happy Days jumped the shark when the Fonze was water-skiing in his leather jacket, and literally jumped over a shark. That's where the term came from.
