Consumer Reports did a crash test using several infant car seats. The results showed that most car seats failed disastrously in crashes with speeds as low as 35 mph. The seats came off their bases or twisted. In one case, a test dummy was thrown in mid air.Baby Trend Flex-Loc and Graco SnugRide were the only two that passed all the tests.
