The New Congress

The 110th Congress was officialy sworn in and revealed their 100 hour plan. For political novices, this plan is a traditional agenda for the beginning of the newest session of Congress in which many major issues are to be tackled. Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) and Majority Leader Reid (D-NV) included stem-cell research, minimum-wage, student loan interest rates, and ethics and lobbying reform in their plan. This seems to me to leave out a couple glaring issues which were major campaign promises such as immigration reform and the Iraq war. The First 100 hours is important because ALL members of Congress are actually there, whereas later in the session there will be trips and leave and the ever present re-election campaigning. What do you think of the direction of this new congress?
