Political expediency...... Do they decide what's right for all?

Have you ever noticed that opposing political parties will usually go against most of each others policies? What if the policies are actually in the public's best interests? Sometimes maybe the spirit of democracy is not used to its best effect?

I think the problem with most of government officials is that they are not thinking of the public's best interests. They are just looking at the interests of some (including their relatives and the ones they have debt of gratitude to, and of course, including their own self-interest).

Richiem you are the HERO of my zero response topics! lol. And yes, I agree with your points; there is too much self serving and not enough unbiased thinking in terms of what is actually best for all. Maybe it is just human nature? Thanks for responding.

You can call it human nature, but others may call it animal nature inside of a humans body. I think it is rooted from the time they are raised as kids. Maybe there are histories in their life that made them yearn for more and think only about themselves. Thanks for the best response and have a nice day!
