Birds that stole $4000!!

Starlings made off with over $4000 in quarters from a car wash! I read this on the net at - http://www.all-creatures.org/stories/a-starling.html Its pretty cheeky that these birds who were attracted to the shiny coins could make off with soo much money. What do people think? I have been posting some amazing animal stories in the last day because i like animals. Thanks in advance if you respond and i will rate you replies, Tanika.

That's really intresting stuff! Imagine however,if these birds had been trained to do that by malicious people instead... BTW,this has been proven true and not a urban myth. Check this site out. http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/carwash.asp Reminds me of an article in Reader's Digest in which a pigeon was trained to steal diamonds from a diamond mine. The perp nearly got away with it when a staff member saw a pigeon acting strangely. Imagine,$1-2 million worth being stolen by pigeons! $4000 is small change in comparison.

wow! i suppose its a clever way for criminals to have less chance of getting caught. poor birds are just caught in the middle of it all really. 1.2 Million is sure a big haul.

Oh boy these Starlings, I knew that they were attracted to anything shiny but that is amazing that they managed to take soo much of the shiny coins. I love animals as well Tanika so thanks for your information.
