would you rather use other people's money or your own money whenever you purchase something.i use to have a credit card and i had problems later on paying the interest alone. now, i opted to have a debit card ,making use my own money, at least i can pay myself at my own pace and i can put an interest on my own loans, and it works!

Debit cards are the best way to go. The credit cards are way to easy to misuse, and a person can get in too deep with them far too easily.

I prefer debit card because then I am only allowed to spend the money I actually have. If I used a credit card I know I would spend a lot more than I should, with the attitude that oh I'll pay it off later. And that would not be good! Lol. Also if I used a credit card, I would have to pay interest, which like you said, I would have problems with! I would just assume use money I already have rather than stressing about it later.

good! you just need a lot or tons of discipline on your part to earn from your own card.put in interest if you can, on yourself rather than giving it to someone else.

We mostly use credit cards while shopping, no matter online or off line. We only use debit cards wher they don't accept credit cards. Actually credit cards can't bring you trouble if you can control yourself while shopping. If you go according to your purchasing capcity, credit card is always good for you. With a good credit history you can get 0%APR for one year and lots of credit card offers will come to you with money back plan.

good that you have that control over your credit card. i still need a credit card for certain emergency that might arise like hospitalization and medicines.it is so hard to get a credit card here if one does not have an existing credit nor an income tax return papers.in other words they need you to be employed for about a year , i can get away with it by asking my friend who owns a business to make me recommendations.

I have seen to many people go into debt which they couldn't afford with credit cards. For some they lost everything in which the owned. I don't have any credit cards because of those exact reasons. I use my debit card for most everything. If I don't have the money in my account to but something then I figure it must not be something I really need.

I would say that I prefer the debit card because with a credit card you spend what you dont have and with the debit card if you dont have it then you cant use it.

I prefer using debit cards. I do not want to have problem by paying the interest every month. I'm afraid I can't pay the interest. I think It's better if you choose debit card. You will not have a problem about paying interest every month.

The interest charged by banks for the credit cards they issue is too high. They would actually rip your pockets. I would never go for a credit card. I got a debt card and am happy with it.

You are right tigerdragon, I would rather use a debit card, check, or cash because if you don't pay the credit card in full each month, then they add a lot of interest to your card. It can be hard to pay the balance off, have a nice day. Pablo

On a day to day basis like paying the bills, gas, dining out, etc.. I pay in cash. The few credit cards that I keep are the ones that I don't have to pay the annual fees. It really hurts in the pocket, paying the interest so whenever I use it, I just see to it the I pay it at the end of the month or before the due date. Besides, I need it in purchasing/paying large sums of money at truly 0 % interest on installment like appliances, tuition fees, hospitalization, travel, purchasing online, etc. Additional perks like having free really good items. At the same time, having a good credit name in a bank really helps.

I would rather use my own money to spend so I will choose a debit card. Using my own money will not subject me to interests and thus save me more. If I use a credit card, I will certainly be charged interests and that is spending more than what I can afford. This is really a question of money management. Spending wisely is the key to saving. Knowing when and what to buy, differentiating between what you need and what you want and spending only for those you actually need will go a long way in helping you keep that hard earned money.

I only use a debit card, I think that with credit cards the interest is too high on all of them. It would seem to me that if you charged something it would be harder to pay off. If I use my debit card, I know the amount of money that I can spend, and if I want to purchase something that costs more, that is too bad, I won't do it.

Debit card is best! Credit cards will only give you a false sense of financial freedom. Why do you think financial institutions promote its usage , that's because they earn a lot from the inerest payments. Debit cards on the other hand gives you the freedom to buy something witout a cash on hand. Minimizes the risk of losing physical cash in transit.

debit card is what i prefer, is you own a credit card, its obvious that it give u flexibility in shopping or any other money related matter, however, there are so many hidden costs included with it that it almost keep you in loss...debit is what u have and is what you spend...nothing worry, no extra percent added on transactions, no service charge...so, debit card is a better option.

I currently use debit card for my payment online and i believe Im not wrong to do so. As with DB i can manage my money not easy to be stolen by hackers as i just deposit enough money for my needs.

In the last 5 years or so the credit card companies haven't got any interest out of me. Anything I purchase with a credit card, I make sure I have enough money coming in at the end of the month to pay off my whole credit card bill. Credit card companies thrive on people who make regular purchases each month and can only afford to pay off the interest as that's how they make their money. They continually increase my credit limit even though I only use about £200 a month on mine and clear it in full each month. I guess they're hoping that increasing my limit will make me want to go out and spend big! That's not going to happen!

I don't have any debit card. I am using credit card to do daily grocery and onlie shopping. I've to discipline myself not to overspend thus i don't have to worry about interest. One bad thing is about applying supp card for family. I appy them for family just to prepare for emergency usage, and i am sad that they take for granted and overspend, will leave me a bid headache!
