As far as i am concerned, some parents force their children to work hard at school in order to get high scores no matter whehter children are interested or not, especially in some developing countries. What's your idea on this?

I don't think forcing anyone i any field without this interest will yield good results.I have been in school and my parents never forced me in my study. They have left it on me and told me that its your responsibility how to handle it.They have never forced me.I also think in that sense. We should never force our childrens to study hard and hard,.if he has the capacity then we can motivate them but not force them.

Very good. Sometimes i find myself not successful as a father although i can do good as a teacher in my school. I find it difficult to make my own kid interested in studies. He hates to do so much homework, which in fact some other children can finish in a short time. What he is concerned with is playing with anything he likes, sometimes he can play with a stick for a long time and sometimes just does nothing. I feel tired with him. What you have said is really reasonable---we can motivate our students or kids to work or make greater achievements, but we should never force them to do something. Studying is their own responsibility. Thanks.

i dont force my children to work hard in school. i want them to enjoy going to school and at the same time they can be learning.they are required to do their assignments though. my kids went to school early, at 3, so i dont want them to get bored and to see going to school as an obligation.they go to school bec they enjoy going there

I really envy you. You know my kid is not fond of schooling. Everyday he has to sit in the classroom for a long time listening to the teacher. He is 8 years old and studying in grade two in the local primary school. Sometimes I find it difficult to make him interested in studying.
