Any body besides me a parent of an inmate?

I have an adult son who is incarcerated and has been most of his adult life. Even though it's been going on for years, I still find that I have a hard time coming to terms with this, and find myself blaming myself and wondering what I did wrong in raising him. I get very depressed about it, and grieve for him like he has died. Does anyone else feel this way? Please let me know your feelings about this.
