are you someone who lives in constant fear?? what major issues do you worry about?.. we've been thinking of moving and my hubby actually said he wants to make it a point to live on "high ground" due the the floods from the events that we will probably experience in our lifetimes.. have you heard that a GIANT chunk of one of the ice caps has just broken off into the ocean? does that bother you? ... if the world was experiencing some horrible cataclysmic event, are you the type of person that would just assume death versus fighting to live?? what types of things do you fear will cause the "world as we know it" to end,..weather, meteors, asteroids, disease, religeon, biological or chemical warfare, any others?? tell me what you think? do you think we should have emergency kits and bomb shelters?

If we have a major catastrophe... there is nothing you can do about it. Because there will be a breaking of law and order... which will result in anarchy. It is true that you could build yourself a safe heaven somewhere... but the people with nothing will come and kill you to steal it from you. I am not Nostradamus... but I predict that something big will happen in the next 30 years. It simply has to... in order to re-establish nature's balance. At this stage of the game... we are only fooling ourselve in thinking that we can keep going the same way than we did in the past 40 years. All the numbers are on the wall for everyone to see... but nobody wants to read them. Politicians talk about economics as a excuse for doing nothing. When disaster hits... there won't be any economie left to worry about.

i completely agree.. i wouldnt say that i think it will happen in 30 years or less, but i of course could just be fooling myself to lighten my load of worry!

Because of our (the world's) selfish, money hungry attitude (I'm mainly talking about the companies that make ozone depleting products), I think it's too late to reverse what's happened and is happening. These companies knew many years ago what their products would do to our environment, but because they didn't want to go out of business, they did nothing. Now they want to help a little? Hello...A little too late. The ice caps melting is just one of the affects of all this. I saw it on TV awhile back and I actually cried. I know there are those out there that don't believe in the Bible and that's their misfortune, but everything that is written has come to pass and is happening right now. It is scary. I'm scared. I think everyone should have some emergency kits stocked up. I don't know about bomb shelters; wouldn't it cost a great deal; many people wouldn't have the funds to build one. And is there really any proof from the past that they actually work, I don't know. If you can move to higher ground and still live a productive, happy life, it would make you feel a bit safer, I'm sure. It all comes down to having faith in the man above, that He'll take care of you and yours. The thing is, if it's your time to 'go', then it's your time.

you knowits weird.. my mom actually believes that theres like no such thing as "global warming"!! she says that its jsut a cycle thats happened to earth for millions of years but its not liketheres any records!.. i meani cant pass judgement.. and who am i to sat that shes wrong, but im not sure if i could believe that! sometimes i think its just easier for you to "not believe" so that we can all just go on in our "busy little lives", while destroying our world jsut so that we dont have to face the fears that catastrophic world prophecies could happen or be happening.. i dont really know what i believe.. but its in the back of my mind, and i cant just write it off as nothing!

When the last day comes, we cannot do anything because God appointed a judgment day and the heavens and the earth will be consumed by fire and will be gone. That will be the end of the world, nothing will be left. But nobody knows when will that be, only God.

I don't think anyone knows for sure when the world is going to end even nostradamus. There have been incidents when asteroids have come within 400 miles of hitting the earth and no one knew about it until it had passed. Our technology is not good enough to tell yet. I personally do not think the world will be ending any time soon and anyway when it actually does we are all screwed so there is nothing to worry about. And yes i have heard stories of the sun swallowing the earth but that is not for many years so we need not break our heads over it.

I believe in Nostradamus. A lot of his predictions have come true down through history. His original first printing of his quadrans even named "Hitler." As far as your husband, I really agree with him. Melting polar icecaps are going to raise thexsea levels at least 20 feet. Anyone near the sea level is going to be under water. Moving to high ground is a good idea.

you summed it up in 1 word... "Religion" thats whats gonna destroy the earth, very soon there will be an announcment that all religions are banned then comes "armageddon" see you shouldnt be worrying about whats gonna happen in a few hundred years, u should be worrying about whats gonna happen in the next few years...
