A three year old was saved by two men who had witness the boy as he dangled from the fourth floor of an apartment building. The kid lost his grip from the fire escape and fell, landing on one man, knocking him over and being caught by the other man. Escaping with only a small cut on his forehead! My mom said she heard on the news that when the boy got to the ground, he went "TA DA!" with his arms in the air. I'd send a link for the full story, but, I don't want to type it all out because it's long, and MyLot won't let me C&P. But how would that make you feel? The kid's babysitter had left him alone for 2 minutes and he climbs out the window. I would never leave my child alone again if something devestating happened like that.

WOW!! As a mother of 3 kids my self I think I would freak out. Where did the babysiter go? Why was the window open? So the boy is ok right and the guy he fell on? Seems like these two guys are heros.

First week of the new year seems to be full of heroic saves. ;) The babysitter's being investigated now. She had just taken her eye off of him for a few minutes and WHAM, he was gone! Both guys are okay, and the little boy is absolutely fine minus the little cut on his forehead. It's intense.. as for the window being open, I don't know why. It didn't say. I guess to let air into the building?

that is scary. now he knows he can do it and be safe so I would lock the windows well and fire the babysitter that was suppose to be watching him

I just hope the boy's parents talk to him and let him know the dangers of dangling outside a 4th floor fire escape! I'd be child-proofing my windows if I had children in my apartment.

It's not babysitters fault. We all know that kids in that age are very creative and can make some silly things. SO, we must be careful. I wouldn't say anything about the kid. AOnly about the parents. Be careful! Let your children realise the reality and the stuff they can and they can't do from earlier that age. They realise to many things. so, save them!
