Getting the Job due to Close Connections

Ever experienced applying for a job,knowing you are qualified and fitted for it, only to find out that someone, less qualified than you gets it because the manager is his/her Godfather, or a friend of his family? That is a very sad thing! You lose the job only because an applicant is close to somebody working in the company you are applying for. Connections Your qualifications, experiences may as well be set aside and ignored.all these because connection is what determines whether you are hired or not.i wonder how long will this kind of scenario continue.

Oh yes, I have had that happen to me too. It's like they say, "It's not what you know but who you know." I figure the hiring manager gets what they deserve in the end, if the employee isn't as good. It's probably somewhere I wouldn't want to work anyway, if that's how they operate.

that's the spirit! a company like that doesn't deserve you. connections determine who is employed, i think this has been the trend. Lucky for those who have connections. regardless of what they know, they are sure of a job...
