Cats- What's so great about them?

I've never had a cat before. I ended up finding a stray, fairly young, about 4-6 months. Anyway, I just bought new furniture and she's slightly scratched my new leather sofas, new kitchen table top, dropped my new digital camera on the floor, etc. I've placed softpaws on her, use a water bottle, but sometimes she just goes crazy, running all over the place attacking walls, feet, hands, hopping on sofa, counters (grosses me out so much) etc. I have thought over and over in my head to get rid of her, but I'm kind of whooped because she is so cute. Convince me, why I should or shouldn't keep her? What's so great about cats?
