People in authorty in the church

Why do people in the church that hold a title with a little authority think that they are more holy than anyone else, whatever they say is right, and they always want to try and chestise your children when theirs are twice or more worst than yours but they can't see the wrong that their child is doing yet they are right in their face doing it. somebody anybody can you explain this.

I have had the same problems with a church here in my hometown. The ones who held big names and owned half the town (or so it seems) think that they are higher and holier than ****. This is what I call - a non believer. They know the bible inside and out, they go to church several times a week, but they do not believe, truly they don't. They are hiding their true selves behind that holier than **** mask. What we should do for these types of people is pray for them, pray right in their faces and show them kindness because it really hurts them to actually be kind to others around them.
