Proud Mom

I am so proud of my son. He is in the Army boot camp in Fort Jackson, SC. I am also scared to death that he will get sent overseas. I think any young person who decides to join the military these days should be honored. I can't wait to see him graduate. I am proud mom who is a proud American!!!

Thanks...This is a wonderful country. I get really tired of people bashing it. I would not want to live in a country that is always in turmoil. Those who bash this country should thank God they have the freedom that they have.

You have every right to be proud. Depending on what he is doing it is possible that he has other training to do after bootcamp. They will send him through that training first before they would send him to Iraq.

Yes, he has to go to Maryland for training to become a Light Wheel Mechanic. It is after the training that he will be sent somewhere.
