I have seen this question in many forums. My reply will always be the same. Laptops are made for those who travels much and are always on the move. Yes you can work in a Laptop in the same way you work in a Desktop but For those who are stationed at one place they should choose Desktop. It's like using Mobile to replace the Landline.

Hello humaaaa, I currently use a desktop computer, but in the future I want to get a laptop. I will probably get it from work in the next 2-3 years. ;) If this will not happen I will buy it for the only purpose that you can go anywhere with a laptop. :D Take care and have a good day, my friend. I prefer having a laptop, it is easy to carry though hard to maintain compared to desktop. I enjoy watchin dvd on my laptop and yet doin research work in it, i can easily carry it wherever i go.

I wanted a laptop eversice. The notebook type. I found it portable and stylish. That is, if i will go out and having it with me. But if i will only stay home, a destop computer will do. The importance of computer with internet connection lies on the number of hours i am using it. Sometimes, when i am not at home, and i badly needed to use the computer, I rent at internet cafe although I have one at home. But I have a notebook computer, it will be very easy for me because I have it already even i am not at home.

At home I prefer to be in my bad with the news on, surfing the internet because It's usually very cold in my house and I love to snuggle in my covers. I love to use my laptop all the time, If the teacher gives me a report, I just love to go home, research my top and sit there and just type. I never get tired of my laptop, It's like a toy to me :)

Great question. Sounds like it's easy to answer on the surface, right? Laptops are mobile, desktops aren't. But there's more to it than that. Here are some issues to consider: Mobility - Well, sure, it's the big one. If you need to work remotely, a laptop is the way to go. Remember that a 3G card from your cell phone provider can give you high-speed internet access in most urban areas. Storage - One of the major places where laptops and desktops differ is in how much hard drive space they offer. Laptops use physically smaller drives, which can only offer so much storage space. Though larger drives are available, 100GB is still common on a laptop, while 500GB desktop drives are seen all the time (again, bigger drives can be had). This is a huge difference and it seems to be expanding, not contracting. If you have very large storage needs, desktop is your best bet. Graphics and Gaming - You said you run a business so I don't expect this is a big deal for you, but with Vista it's important to consider graphics now, no matter what kind of user you are. Laptop graphics have come a long way, but I'd still say only 50 percent have really sufficient graphics processors. Upgrades - Speaking of upgrades, it's more difficult to upgrade a laptop. In some cases, it's impossible Laptop repairs are far more expensive and difficult than desktop PC repairs. Peripherals - Remember that when you're in the office, you can always plug in an external mouse, keyboard, and monitor to your laptop. Price - Expect to pay $300 to $500 more for a comparably equipped laptop (though this varies widely). but all in all i prefer Desktop over Laptop ;P

Lap Top is better. Lap Top could be taken any where but desk top could only be used on the desk of a room. Lap Top also works with the help of battery but the supply of electric power is necessary for desk top. I use both laptop and desk top computer.

I prefer the Desktop pc at home i don't need to replace the place where i'm working. It must be allways on the same place. A laptop is easy to use outside.

always desktop at home, more room for a bigger screen and desktop processors are faster so when at home definitely desktop. for me, laptops only when desktops are too inconvenient :)
