Ebay Help! Does anyone here sell things on Ebay? I need help.

I want to sell things on Ebay, but in order to do that they need my credit card number, should I give it to them? Or should I just get ID Verify, for 5$? Have you ever been screwed over giving them your credit card number? Or know someone that has been?
