It's really very simple, common sense mostly. You are probably just nervous. Don't be...pretend like you are the only one in the car...you'll make mistakes, everyone does, but you'll learn and you'll be fine. ONce you master it, there will be no stopping you! I love to drive!

Just relax, driving is not rocket science. You just need practice and practice makes perfect. Once you can drive in a straight line, then you can refine your driving skills. Here is a tip, driving at a medium speed (on an empty road, only, for Gods sake!) is easier than driving at a slow speed. As for co-ordination, it comes with time. Releasing the clutch while accelerating, can sound tricky, but its not really!

Yes, I can give you some tips. Read the whole book about driving, learn the signs. read book throughly. keep you eyes on the road. always watch the signs on your street for speeding. parking can be hard. always rember when parking pulling in a parking space pull car up bumper to bumper. and back your car in carefully. always watch out for other driver too.

Shailendra143, it might also be possible that person helping you learn how to drive is causing the nervousness. The presence of most parents will send one over the hills, when learning to drive. Try a different teacher. Or better yet, get someone you are very comfortable with to help you learn to drive. Good-luck!

This is one of the most important skills you'll ever gain, so hang in there, keep practicing, find a good teacher, and never give up. I should know...my mother never learned to drive and it severely limited her opportunities and mine as well when I was young enough to live at home. It doesn't matter if it takes you a week, a month or a year, keep going until you get it.
