Guys, I feel India badly missed Yuvraj in the latest series between India and SA...Yuvraj is a match winner and we hav seen many interesting knocks from him when India really needs some1 to stand out there...Yuvi not only adds to batting, but also to the bowling dimension...whats your opinion?

Yuvi is a natural stroke maker and hard bouncy tracks sure would have suited him. Too bad he is injured

Yes I think we have missed youvraj a lot in this series but the point is would he be able to play on these fast pitches as most of the batsmen from indian cricket team failed to do so. well, anyways, if yuvraj is there in the team and he was able to play on fast pitches then we could have better results that all i can say.

Yuvraj has played enough cricket, and have shown enough character that he can play on fast pitches. He had played good in Australia. Part of the reason is his natural strokemaking ability

hey sorry to just distract you but you know what i would like to say that now india is at the peak of its what we say bad form and it is not only that any of the one person is responsible for it. whether the qestion is: Q.should sourav be made the captain of the team? Q.is sourav giving the team what people were expecting after his come back? Q.sehwag is not playing good? Q.tendulkar out of form? Q.dravid took this or that decision wrong? Q.the coach is not good? Q.the coach is more a politician? Q.wrong decision of the board of taking this bowler in the team whereas the other one was required? Q.coach taking gangully case personal? ...... and many mre do not you people think that all what is happening is not good and what these people are doing is just decreasing their world cup chances? do not you think that it is not the problem with one person whole team is responsible? wrong strategies, bad form... what is this is this what indian team has to show to the world that we are the one?

i quite agree with amit shah. Munaf's inclusion in final test didnt really had a meaning when all the bowlers were doing good already. and of tendulkar and dravid will come out good in time...its only few places we need to get right...sehwag for an instance and ganguly has definitely proven the value of being experienced.

But this topic was about Yuvi and not Gangulay, munaf , sachin or dravid.

Hey Puranijeans... Lots of questions! Firstly, I dont think BCCI or the selection panel should even think about making sourav the captain of the indian team right now. It would be very difficult for the team and the players to have a new captain, especially since the world cup is so near-by. Maybe after the world cup, this can be decided. Yes, Sourav is giving the team what it expected from him. Scoring RUns! Sehwag needs to be given a break. He needs to learn the hard way that he has to learn playing for the team and not for himself. He cant play how he wants to all the time. Tendulkar and Dravid would get better... soon! Selecting Munaf for the final test was a disaster. I dont think Munaf can be in the team only on the strength of his bowling. 2 out of 3 things, namely, Bowling, Batting and Fielding must be good. Munaf only bowls. He cant bat. He doesnt field well. They should ask him to improve his fitness and agility.

Yes andy... I also feel that Yuvraj was missed. But then, there wasnt anything anyone could do about that. It is better for Yuvraj to be better for the all important world cup. I feel Sourav should have been given a chance in the ODIs in Yuvi's place.

yes you are right we badly missed yuvraj in the recent african safari. he would have been very handy in the middle and lower middle order. the way our middle order performed in the matches was very dismal. presence of yuvraj there would have certainly boosted the middle order. moreover he is one of the finest fielder in the gully point region and his slow spinners rolling his arm over would have come handy and would have opened a lot of options for the captain. the class and flamboyancy in which he plays makes him a real match winner and not having him in the series was definetely a great setback for the indian team managment. hope he recovers soon and becomes fit to play for india soon. yuvraj's presence in the team surely would boost the indian team up and we atleast expect better performance from the brittle middle order.

Yes india missed the services of Yuvraj Singh in the One dayers very much. We could have done better in with the services of Yuvraj singh in fit condition. We all hope that he gets Fit in time for the World Cup.

Indian batting line-up is the strongest in paper. So technically speaking what we have to improve is the bowling. But as far the current situation shows, the team has not been successful in batting and bowling as well.India has never produced a strike bowler who alone can claim a match.SO India stands a chance only if the batsmen place a massive score,so that our mediocre bowlers can do their job.So Yuvraj and Kaif being consistent batsmen have always contributed to the run tally and the new south african series showed that. We dont need batsmen who can score 1 or 2 centuries in their lifetime and stick on to the team on the sterngth of that century. What we need is consistent batsmen like yuvraj and Kaif who are sure to score 35 or 40 in every match. So we really missed them
