Toothache or headache?

Have you ever experienced a terrible, unforgettable toothache? I still remember mine and that time I swore I'd rather have a headache, and next morning I was the first patient at the dentist. Tell me your story.

OMG, have i got the stories for this! I thought i was going to die! I lost a filling a few years ago, actually, around the time i met my now husband. And of course, me being scared of the dentist, i didn't go in to have it fixed. Then the pain hit me! Oh geez, i couldn't eat, i couldn't drink, i couldn't sleep, i'd cry, my boyfriend felt really bad.. I finally went to the dentist and he said i had an infection, so he gave me penicilyn to make it go away before he could work on the tooth. The pills barely worked, they only made me drowsy, but i still couldn't sleep because of the intense pain i was feeling, it went all the way to my shoulder and all the way up to my head. It was really really bad, i don't wish this pain even to my worst enemy!!

I had a similar pain when I had a tooth pulled. An infection occurred and it happened during the Christmas holidays so I had to wait a few days to go back to the dentist. Meanwhile I tried all the painkillers I could get my hands on and they were all useless. I know how terrible toothaches can be. Unforgettable!

I had a horrible toothache one time and it was the worst pain I've ever had in my life! Worse than childbirth! I discovered that if you get a toothache and you can't get to the dentist right away, chew an asprin on the tooth that hurts. It takes the pain away!

I've never had a toothache like that, but a few years ago I did have a nasty ear infection. I waited until I had to sleep sitting up, it was throbbing so bad. I finally went to the doctor for antibiotics. Wish I had gone sooner, I was miserable.

Well so far i don't and did not have any problems with my teeth. However i do suffer from migraines and i can tell you even if now i "used" in this kind of pain it is totally awfull. The worse thing as well there is no obvious treatment except from getting loaded with aspirins and other painkillers.

Toothaches are worse for me. I get them sometimes but I am stubborn and a bit afraid of dentists. Besides that, at my age I need all the teeth I have left!lol!

Thankfully, I haven't gotten that before. And I don't think I'd want to either.

I've had headaches and migraines all my life but they do not compare to two of my worst teeth pains. The one was one I had my wisdom teeth removed. The one devoloped a dry socket. I'd rather have been shot. It was horrible. Thankfully the dentist saw me on Sunday to treat it. The other time I went to have a molar pulled, it was that bad. This dentist would shoot my mouth up to numb it and then came back when it was thawing already. So he'd numb it up again. Finally he tried to pull it. I wasn't fully numb but I didn't want another shot (they had given me all they could safely at this point). Well I'm bearing with it and he stops...to take a break. I'm in tears with the pain and when he comes back he tells me he can either continue to pull, with no more novicane or send me to an oral surgeon. Well I went to the surgeon. They ended up giving me demerol until they could get me in and even then I was going to have to be knocked out cause the htought of another shot in my mouth had me in a full blown anxiety attack. This stupid dentist had pulled it enough so the roots were exposed. And the worst part was? He charged me $80 for it.
