He can not undergo strenous stress, like climbing stairs. He has diet restrictions, but never follows it. he has only one thing to say " if i have to die, i will enjoy and die". does anyone has has anyother suggestions where i can talk my dad into following his diet restrictions

give your Dad two leaves of Gymnema sylvestris to eat per day and see the difference if any as this has helped many diabetics.

Diabetes runs in my family and i lost my grandmother because of the complications she had with diabetes. I think the best thing to deal with your dad is to talk to him. tell him that you and as well the rest of the family loves him and don't want to lose him. in that way he will feel his importance in your family and might as well encourage him to follow the diet.

Hi! I'm diabetic too and it's really hard to stick to a diabetic diet. But I try my best because I don't want to die yet. Maybe it's the complications that he's suffering from now that make him throw all caution to the wind, you know, like i'm dying anyway so might as well enjoy my last days on earth. Try telling him how much you guys love him and you don't want to lose him and that to live longer he has to stick to his diet. Also, not to fail in taking his medications. He can also join support groups; i'm sure there are support groups in your place for diabetics like your dad. They can really help because they know what your dad feels, being diabetic themselves. Hope this could help. Good luck!
