Is the money always greener on the other side? Have you regretted changing jobs

While I can not say that I think money is greener on the other side. I can say that I have quit my job to transfer with my partner in hopes of finding another job. When my partner received the transfer from Florida to here (Oklahoma), even though I loved my job and didn't want to leave it. I thought I would be able to find something else when I got here and settled down. Well, no such luck for two reasons. 1. This state does not schedule schools hours that are benefitial to working parents. That is...in Florida, they split school times to help parents out. High school would start first. Then elementary....so the middle school children whom are almost in high school are able to walk the elementary children to the bus stop or school. The middle school would then start just after that. And since the high school started first, the high schoolers would be able to pick up the elementary kids from the bus stop and babysit for the short while before the parents go home. This worked out great for parents that worked and could not afford before school care. and 2. I live in such a small town that the work force here is more limited than Central Florida. But even if I did find a job, I couldn't take it because I can not afford before school care. So, I regret quitting my job! He could have turned down the job transfer and it would not have hurt him and we would not be struggling so hard to make ends meet now.

I'll believe that, it's not always greener on the other side. Unfortunately, I never had this happen to me before. Usually when I leave a job, I'm just sick of it.
