in this fast-paced rat-raced life we developed in our times, have you done your part helping those who are in need? what is our value system nowadays? is it me first before others or service to others then ourselves, these are the questions we need to ask ourselves.
i , for one , could say i did. i have fed a beggar . instead of giving him money, i gave him food.so, on your own without anyone knowing ,feed the hungry. pass it forward please. it is so rewarding, it feels good.

i agree with you. Ideally, I would like to make the term "pass it forward" as a law. My circumstances are different as i don't need to find beggars to help, there are a lot of people within my circle to help, aside from my kids to feed, we Filipinos don't want to neglect our parents, so we need to take care of them, on both sides, mine & my husband's side, that's 4 people. Also, I have a cousin who's living with me that I have already adopted since she was 12 (a long story), she's now 18 years old (who's now becoming a pain in the neck due mostly of being a teen ager).

i remember watching the movie pay it forward which really struck my heart. and since then, i always try to do things for others. even if it's not that great as others may see it. i just wanna do my share of good deeds in any way i can. small or big... it's still great.

we can always do something for the beggars. if i have some food at hand, i have made it a habit to hand over some. if i do not have it, i may give some money. i believe food to give matters more. this is because i have known that there are some bullies who get their money and the beggar, being so fragile, cannot fight back. it is good that we filipinos value taking good care of our old folks. and the way that you are taking care of that adopted cousin will pay off in the future. i hope that you will manage it well with her. if she will do good, that's a medal for life for you. good luck.

i am not a rich person. so, just like you, i do it in small ways. like helping an old person cross the street or opening doors for elderlies. these might be unnoticeable for others but to those i lent help to, i know it meant a lot to them.
i one day want to be like my dad. he's now successful with all the businesses he has and he sends some people to college. atleast 3 or 4 of them at the same time. i wanna do that, too when i already can. i wanna help people get education even just a small number of them.

we always have to take care of our elderly. for me, that will be my mother. within a few years more, there is one more coming in this list. it says that charity begins at hhome and i believe in this. so i think first of the people who matters most to me. the common help that i have been giving the needy has been allocating for donations some old clothes. at times i give money to the campaign funds to finance those who are victims of some calamity. by ourselves alone, one hundred pesos will never matter, but if the amount goes into a common fund, it will make a little difference.
