Color fast red crochet thread?

I did 4 Christmas doilies and used SouthMaid's red. When I went to wet them for blocking I was dismayed to see the red bleed into the white and destroy all the work I had done! Has anyone else encounterd this? Can you reccommend a color fast red thread? Thanks.

I can't help you with the name of a thread but isn't it strange how in just about anything it is always the red colour that runs...
