what have you done to save ELECTRICITY?

Hi All,
In the country where i live, we are the second largest population in the world, we have all the faciilities with us electricity,water,food etc. but we consume whole of the production of electric supply and infact probably we consume more than what is required that is why we have a problem called power cut in the rurul part of the country, people still wait for good and regular elctric supply outhere.
[please suggest me some good ways to save electricity?

I think that most places that have the ability to consume more than that is required do. It's easier to be wasteful.
Here, I use energy saving lights. I was looking into getting a windmill for power. It's expensive to get it up purchased and running so I haven't yet. Solar panels are not worth the cost here.
