Check the links that are included in the email. I think that they might not be actual Chase websites and are fishing. If someone had stolen your identity they would be using your name and social and not your email address. Do you even have a chase account? I have gotten phishing emails faked as emails from Chase in the past and I don't have a Chase account. If you are worried simply order copies of your credit report from each of the three credit clearing houses. Depending on your state each is required by law to give you one free report a year.

I never even visited chase.com. I didn't even know the website existed before this. I live in Canada, so you know any credit clearing houses I could contact? Yes, I will contact my bank about this.

Like I said, it doesn't matter if you don't have an account with Chase. People send out emails that are called phishing where they send and email asking you to log into your account and have a link but instead of the link connecting you to the bank it goes to a fake webpage and they steal your information. I've gotten similar emails before and I don't have a Chase account. What I was trying to say is that the email didn't actually come from chase. Check to see if the links actually go to chase.com, because if not then its a phishing email and not a real email.
