What books, if any, have influenced your life.. whether it be influenced career choices, personal choices or whatever. I have been heavily influenced by The Prince- Machiavelli The Art Of War- SUN TZU 1984 George Orwell The Real America- Glenn Beck Letters to a Young Conservative- Dinesh D'Souza Concious of a Conservative- Barry Goldwater Each of these have influenced my way of thinking. As you can see the first two are fairly old works that influence my interaction with others and rise to pwer. The Last three are conservative based works and reinforce my conservative nature. 1984 helps me think outside the box... Anyone else have books that influence them?

I like your topic. Books that have had a lot of influence on my life - The Bible - even though I'm no longer Christian... I read it cover to cover several times growing up. I don't know if it's the devine word of God ... but it does have a lot of good morals and parables. I like to think that I am a moral and ethical person. The Prophet, The Celestine Prophecy, the Zen of Oz all have influenced the way that I look at the world now. There are other books that have influenced a little bit... or for a short time, but nothing that has shaped my life and who I am.

Jane Eyre - Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
I honestly have to say The Bible has been the most influential book in my life and NO I'm not a bible thumper. I can't even say I've read it from beginning to end. But I do think that its contents and what I was taught out of it were what helped me make choices and find direction. (Not perfect for sure but enough to keep me out of prison! lol) Jane Eyre was a book that gave me some influence as a woman and pretty much showed me how to be strong as a woman.
