If you were given a choice....

If you could choose to have someone hand you $10,000 free and clear OR $100,000 for you to spend on other people, charities, etc. Which would you choose? Honestly, it would be really hard for me to pass up the $10,000 becuz I could REALLY use it, but I would choose the $100,000. I am happier helping other people. It would thrill me to no end to be able to give people that DESERVED it money or help them out in some way. Do you feel the same. Noone is judging you so be HONEST!! Would you take the $10,000 for yourself, or $100,000 to help other people? And please explain yourself! Thank you very much and have a wonderful day!

I would choose the $10,000 free and clear. And it would be an easy choice for me. I care more about me than about people that I donĀ“t know. I would like to help, but I go first.

I would take the 10 grand free and clear. Sorry but considering my financial status and trying to bring a new baby into our house, I would like to get out from under a few payments. Sure it'd be nice to hand out money but I wouldnt be able to do that until I felt like I too wasnt struggling.

Honestly, I would like to have the $10,000 for myself, but I would pick the $100,000 because I would feel guilty spending so much when people have nothing. Besides, I really would feel fufilled helping people.

Unfortunately...I would take the $10.000 for myself. I have a family and bills and it would come in handy. However..if the amount were bigger..I would think about giving some to charity..that would be the right thing to do....

I would take the 10 grand. I would use it to make millions. Then I would be able to help myself as well as others. In fact, this is a dream of mine. Sure, it is nice to help others, but I would not sacrifice my happiness. I believe that each of us is responsible for creating our own lives and happiness. I would create more wealth, some for me and some for you. Then we would both be happy. Not that money directly brings happiness. But, it is the things that can be done with money that can create prosperity and more for others...////

Wow, what a great question. I would like to think I would be charitable but I believe I have a duty to my family to do the best I can for them. So depending if we were hurting or not I would lean toward helping others.

Thank you. That's a very good answer. I agree (now that you brought it up)!! I guess I too would take the $10,000 if I was about to be evicted or couldn't pay my bills or something like that. Very good point! Thank you for the response and Have a great day!

Oh my word. This would be one of the hardest decisions that I have made in my not-too-short-not-too-long-yet life *laugh* Honestly. I would feel awful saying that I would take the 10,000, but that money could do so much good for me. On the other hand, I love bringing joy into other people's lives, and alot could be done with that 100,000. Still, at the point that i am at in my life right now, I could use that 10,000 more than I could say. So I would probably have to take that route. Sigh. I don't like saying it! *laugh*

You know what.. I'm not saying this for karma points, but I take it back. I would pretty certainly take the 100,000. I thought that you only had to give it to charity. If you could give some to charity and also things to brighten up other people's lives who are close to you, well, I would enjoy the 100,000 so much more. I truly love bringing joy to the people closest to me! I am not just saying that *laugh* ^_^

For me the 100,000 would help alot.. What i would do with the money was give some to my family, Pay off all my bills.. Put a down payment on a house.. and give some to charity.. And i would try and help the closest friends.

I too would take the $100,000. Ten grand would be nice to have, maybe pay some bills or a few months worth of mortgage but having it or not would not make me or break me. On the other hand, there are many ways I could use 100K helping others that truly need it. Can you imagine how many textbooks a school could buy with a few thousand dollars. Or how much food and blankets a homeless shelter could donate. There are so many choices and it wouldn't be difficult to spend knowing that you had to give it away.

I would definitely take the $10,000 for myself. I always considered myself to be a charitable person, but you know as the saying goes, 'Charity begins at home'. Maybe I am not so cahritable after all.

Yea it would be great to help others...but to be honest ... I would take the $10,000 for myself. It would be great idea to invest some and help my immediate family in the long run. I cannot see helping others when I may need the help myself. I would feel differently if I were financially able to pass up the cash for my own household.

I feel this way too, but it's such a difference in the amount that I would really have a hard time passing up being able to help so many people. Also, I didn't say WHO you had to help. It could be a family member or friend. Wouldn't it be worth it to help people that really deserved it!? And what comes around...goes around...so you might be rewarded for doing so! ;-) Thank you very much for your response! Have a great day!

Wow...that is a great question. As much as I'd love to take the higher ground and say the $100,000 for charity, I really think I'd take the 10 grand. I can think of a lot of things I could do for my family with that money

Well to be really honest I would take the $10,000 open up a business and then with the extra money I would earn, i will help out the poor and needy. On going support for life instead of doing it one big time. And if the business expands that means more money for Charity :)

Ok well honestly. I'd take the money for myself. Im sure Id end up spendin at least 1/2 on others any way. But I've learned that you have to put yourself first because no one else will. Of course if you think about it $10,000 wouldnt go that far. I enjoy helping others but only when I can afford it.

I would take the $100,000 hand down. Its my dream to be able to help people who aren't expecting it. I have done it on a small scale and there is nothing like helping others. Great question!!!!

Lol, I just saw this question on Exposed. Lol. Anyways, on other people. Its 100,000. ALl the people and charities that would help, it would be alot. It would be fun to walk down the street and give people you think aren't doing to good a 100$ at random. Going into resteraunts and paying for peoples tabs who you know can't really afford it. I would give it.
