Totally insane discussions!!

Most of the time we see insane, illogical questions posted every minute (don't know if this is also one lol) but why do we still respond to it? I'm guilty of responding to some (I'm human hehe) but when I do respond, it's not just a one liner but rather multiple as it earns me more. Even if the question is "What's your favorite fruit?" when I respond to this kind of discussion, my response would be as descriptive as possible.

its sometimes fruitful to be illogical. its fun to respond to the discussions which are irrelevant, illogical, insane because it creates more interest to start a new ILLOGICAL discussion, after all we are getting paid for these discussions, isn't it??? so why feel guilty in responding to these silly questions when it is for our good only????

I also agree fully with what gary said above! It is wonderful and fun to be illogical and let loose sometimes. I too reply to the silly discussions at times, out of boredom or just for fun. There are only so many truly meaningful topics to reply to on here, and at some point I will have replied to most of the new ones within a day. Therefore, it is hard not to become tempted to reply to some less meaningful discussions. But I always reply with wordy answers! Well, almost always. LOL ^_~ I'm quite good at rambling on, as you can see. ^_~

Yeah, I have to agree with that, it keeps your intrest if you respond to inane topics, I mean whats the point if you just are responding to serious topics all the time, you'll just turn into a dull unexciting person. Even if it is spamming in one way, it keeps your intrest.

I'm guilty as well. Mostly because I get bored. I try to still respond to questions that seem like some thought went into them and that could possibly offer some discussion. I think we all end up replying to some of the sillier questions every now and again.

Thank you everyone for the response, I've rated most of of you positive as I couldn't comment to all. Best response will be marked tomorrow. Thank you again!

Sometimes we can answer a silly question with a good answer easier than an indepth discussion where we have to read through pages and pages of responses before we answer. And sometimes I get really tired of talking about terrorists or war and a silly or inane discussion is okay for a change.

I totally agree. As long as we respond to poll questions we might as well put in some descriptions. Answering serious topics only would somewhat be boring at times, so add a little spice, why not answer silly questions right?

Some topics may seem like insane, illogical silly little questions to some but to others they would just like to know the answer to their question. If you don't like it you do not have to answer! some people also find it hard to answer serious topics. so i think their should be an assortment of both. Yes, we do get some questions repeated but that shouldn't be surprising when there are over 55.000 members now. in-depth discussion are all well and good but we only get paid for posting one reply to each topic so there is no incentive to keep the discussion going is there?

I also respond to some of these discussions. Sometimes I don't feel like getting into deep conversations but a simple answering question is often good. I always answer with more than one line too as I think the discussions deserve more than yes and no.

I think this will be more and more to see in the future. However, Mylot has promised that this type of disscussion will be by far eliminated to increase the quality posts. I tend to agree that! For a short discussion - Y&N questions type, I did the same with you as it will give value added to the discussion rather than blantly single liner answer as even though expected. he he he...

Yes that's it! If we could not see any quality discussions of interest, we can still respond to poll type questions but still we have to put more description into it.

That is human tendency, we know the discussion is iilogical, still we respond to it. I do that all the time. But its unavoidable. I always try to respond as descriptive as possible. Do you like fruits discussion, i entered why i dont like, what do i do, which fruit i eat the most. So i know it earns money. It is not going help anybody though, just we respond to it to make sure we increase our posts with the replies and payment. Everybody is selfish one or the otherway, so it happens all the time. They might think, people will respond to silly discussions like that, they use it so they are brilliants. LOL.

I think it is interesting to see what people have to say to a lot of the discussions. I find it that curiosity kills the cat usually when it comes to the discussions as well.

I also am guilty of this and I don't know if it is because there are just so many of them that I give in or if it is because I know that I can give an easy descriptive answer. Some are just so insane that I can not help mylself. I feel like I have to respond and then watch and see what everyon else says.

It's true. We respond to them because they are so illogical. It is interesting to be illogical.

I do the same thing. If some random topic looks interesting to me, I will answer it in quite a bit of detail, perhaps adding extra things that are related. I think many of the topics come about because people want to post lots of discussions to earn more...just today I saw at least 6 topics posted by one person.

I'm the same way. if it a discussion topic of where are you from. I write a whole paragraph as to where i am from. I don't like one liners and i always write or at least try to write something different every time. It's so hard to find a topic that you havn't replyed into. They seem to all be the same these days only with different wording.

I respond to some just for fun. Sometimes it is fun to answer some illogical, insane, or strange questions. And also, no one-liners, go as descriptive as possible. It is fun and we are humans, hehe.

I just write what comes to mind on these things. Some answers are shorter, some answers are longer, it simply depends on how much I had to say. Again, it totally depends on the discussion

Well I guess my friend we can't do anything about it. As long as some users still respond to these kinds of topics, I guess, this will still continue. I agree with the posts of the responders to your topic that sametimes illogical questions spice up mylot as sometimes some of the discussions are too serious and we feel that we get bored(I don't know about you but for me I do get bored with too serious topics).

Sometimes if i'm too lazy i find the most illogical discussion and waste a full five minutes answering. Usually end up feeling embarrassed about commenting but i try my best to reply well.
