Just managed to set up and configure a new Debian operating system on my PC! I'm so happy! Everyone should use this great OS! Have a nice day

I have also installed a Linex OS in my computer. Its Ubuntu 6.06. I need to know how can you install softwares like XMMS player to this Linux. Please help me.

installing on Debian Based with apt-get install app....... but u config /etc/apt/source.list for setup u mirror debain or ubuntu

Thanks for that piece of advise. Can you tell me what is apt-get? Is that an installer for Linux softwares?

Would you like fries with that elitism? http://www.arouse.net/despair-linux/debian.jpg Debian rules! And btw, yes you can use apt-get in ubuntu. However you might be better off using Synaptic. Try http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Ubuntu_Edgy , a great beginner's guide for ubuntu.
