Hi guys Do u think nowadays people are committing heinous crimes in name of religion all over the world.Ifeel they r just a set of values prepared by a group of people for their own benefits. Faith is like a virus passed down from generations,by imposing religion on children who are too inexperienced to judge for themselves,we are perpetuating beliefs that are leading to murderous intolerance. http://www.smh.com.au/news/book-reviews/the-god-delusion/2006/11/03/1162340038238.html For me humanity is the greatest religion of all. I kindly ask viewers to read the book by richard dawkins The GOD Delusion.

religion is the OPIUM of the people. They resort to it whenever they do not have anyone/thig to run into.

I'm pleased to see you concede that there is someone or something to run to. I'll take all the help I can get.

..is this in the name of all religions? Are there Buddhist monks or followers doing massacre's? This is bad news! - "The God Delusion".. isn't that written by that crazy dude that thinks cows became whales and the flying squirrel, the bird? Like all it takes is wings to fly.. or pads between the toes.. Say did they ever come across any transitional fossils? That must just drive them crazy! Well, I guess it doesn't matter since their beliefs are the enforced state religion now and has been taught exclusively to all the children and citizens.. and look how much better this country and world is for it! I mean at least I now know how silly it is to expect my grand daughter could play in the front yard.. how could we ever have been so silly back in the 40's and 50's when we let our kids run freely all over? It's much better now.. keeps us all on our toes while our golden evolving unfolds in front of us.. (like it did in the 40's)

Have yoer considered the other side of this coin, that there might be people out there who are not committing heinous crimes precisely because of their religion? Are not those who so vehemently despise so called intolerance not themselves guilty of intelerance towards those who believe in absolutes, which are by definition not tolerant? Just about every accusation laid at the feet of people of faith can equally be laid at the feet of those of the athiest faith. Its my observation that people, not religion is the problem, especially when people choose to use religion as an excuse for their own evil purposes. I often wonder Why Dawkins is such an evangelist for atheism. "Methinks that the lady doth protest too much" save that it pays very well.
