the nazi camp leader wakes up, gets up from his bed, picks his rifle, glances lazily and casually shoots a person sitting idle in the camp and then goes to take a leak. That was a heart rending depiction of the Nazi cruelty rendered to Jews. What according to you is the defining moment in the movie !

there r numerous other touching scenes... like the one in which the jews r stripped and taken under a shower.. they r so terrified dat they think the water is gonna kill them... also the last scene where oscar schindler cries and says dat if he wud hav had sold his ring he cud have had saved one more jew.. and his car was worth 2 jews.. very touching indeed!

yes, for me that was the most touching scene... to think that the first reason why he ended up in that place and position was his objective to become rich out of war... but instead, he gave it all up just to save his workers' lives and yet he cried in thinking that it wasn't enough and should have traded the rest of his properties for more jews... he was a man worthy of phrasing and should never be forgotten for the rest of human history...

My most unforgettable part of Schindler's list was that little girl with the red coat which actually was the only color shown within the whole movie. Remember the scene when she was walking among all those people who were herded off to the camps, and then when there is that flash of red when the graves were shown? That was so heartbreaking for me. A few months ago, I watched Prof. Elie Wiesel, a holocaust survivor and author of the book "Night", on Oprah. There he mentioned that one of the last things he remembered most about his sister is the red coat she had on, and I once more felt that tight squeeze on my heart :(

The most tragic part in the movie was the liquidation of the jewish ghetto. The german soldiers were actually finding it fun(what monsters). I think it is the defining part of the movie coz schindler witnesses the german cruelty with his own eyes.
