Why do we keep pets so that we have so much attachment with them and feel so bad when they die?

I think it's beacause there just so REAL! For example, if you have a dog he will love you no matter how you look. What's matter for him is you give him some love. A dog will never judge you of something you did, and that's most important. I wish it was like this with humans.

dying is a natural thing that we must learned to accept even with pets...it's sad to lose a pet but if you think about the things and happy moments with your pet.. it still give a smile on our faces...

I think we get pets for a companion.. someone to love you and be around you that loves you more than anything.. and when they go, it does hurt because some of us love our animals like family. especially if the animal has been in your life for a while, it can hurt as much as losing a human loved one I think..
